Level 1: This course is designed for participants with no previous knowledge of Spanish. You will learn greetings, numbers, phrases to help you order at a restaurant, book a hotel room, go shopping. It is an interactive class where you will have fun while learning.

Level 2: This class is a continuation of level 1. This course will add on to the Spanish you already know. You will increase your vocabulary, learn additional verb tenses and practice the Spanish you know. The themes covered are also dialogues you need in order to visit any spanish speaking country. If you have done duolingo for a while this class is for you

About Monica Aspiazu

Monica has been in Saskatoon for 17 years. Originally from Ecuador. She has taught Spanish at different community associations. Does interpretations for the court, schools and medical appts. She has the motivation and expertise needed to teach a language. She has been teaching Spanish and other languages for 20 years. You will enjoy learning Spanish in a fun, dynamic way. Through songs, dialogues, postcards and puppets you will be ready to travel to your next warm destination (wherever it is).

She speaks Spanish, English, French and German.

In-person registration for our winter programming was January 7, 2026. Online registration will open January 8, 2026, follow the link below.  A Community Association membership must be purchased with program registration.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot register for programs prior to the registration date. We will no longer be accepting e-transfers for program registrations. All online registrations must go through the website once the link is provided on January 8.
