Saskatoon Curbside Swap 2018
Have clean, usable household items to give away? Want free stuff? Swap it! Join in the city-wide Curbside Swap on September 8, 2018.
Just place unwanted items on your property, marking them as “FREE”, and by searching for new stuff. At the end of your swap day, return your unclaimed items to your home.
You can even list your stuff for others to find here: saskatoon.ca/curbsideswap
Curbside Swaps provide opportunities for someone else to use your unwanted items, keeping them out of our landfill.
Guidelines:
-Clearly mark all items that you wish to swap as “FREE” and remove any items you wish to keep from your property
-Do not block roads/sidewalks with items
-Obey all traffic laws and watch for children
-Do not drive/walk on the lawns of others
-Do not discard items on someone else’s lawn/curb
What to do with items not collected during the swap:
-Donate them to a charity
-Give them to a local thrift store
-Post them on a free classifieds website, such as Kijiji
-Visit the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council’s recycling database to find out if any of your unwanted items can be recycled in Saskatoon
